Dedicated facilities focus on key grain markets for Australian grain. These include laboratory facilities, specialist production equipment through to our Sensory Evaluation laboratory.

Noodles, pasta, flat breads, cakes, biscuits and the like, are all tested and developed at BRI Australia.

The Asian & Middle Eastern Foods Laboratory investigates a range of wheat based Asian Foods including:

  • Salted, alkaline and instant noodles
  • Middle Eastern flat breads
  • Chinese steamed breads

The laboratory offers a range of services:

  • Assessment of the suitability of flour for these products
  • Assessment of the effects of ingredient additions
  • Applied and strategic research on flour components and their interactions on end-product processing and quality
  • Training in production and assessment methods
  • Product development and trouble shooting
